Amanda Director of Marketing & Creative
I am a bohemian romantic fueled by aesthetics and art (not to mention macarons and fromage). Nothing makes my heart beat faster than beautiful color palettes, textures, fashion, antiques, and travel. My career thus far has been full of excitement beginning with a fast-paced media stint in Washington D.C. during the 2010 election season, followed by five years of creating beautiful content in the realms of fashion, science, and health. Nav.it is my new home after working abroad in Paris, France for some time, where I nurtured my love of French culture, history, croissants, and of course tourism and travel content creation and marketing.
Why I joined Nav.it
I consider myself a dreamer and someone who goes against the status quo, which doesn’t make for easy life decisions. I love that Nav.it shows me how to be myself – free from the anxiety of confronting the financial system alone, and able to leverage my money to continue doing the things I really love.
Movie that last made me cry…
The Outlander series. I weep uncontrollably. Everything about it is just so beautiful. The blend of travel, history and romance is almost too much for me.
Favorite way to spend a day off…
I’ve only just returned to the U.S. from Paris, and I can’t help but feel nostalgic for that Parisian lifestyle. My ideal day would start with sleeping in, going for a run along the Seine, enjoying a freshly squeezed orange juice and a hot pastry in the Jardin des Tuileries. I would spend the rest of the day strolling the streets of Paris aimlessly, taking time to pop in whatever museum I happened upon.
One cause that is close to your heart….
I’m a proud feminist and will march with women anywhere for equality.
Concert I’d most like to see…
I cannot possibly choose just one. I would like to create a super (natural) concert and resurrect Jim Morrison, David Bowie, Prince, and Michael Jackson for one evening of insane musical magic.
